Mr. Yan Vannac is the first Cambodian yoga teacher at Krama Yoga which is the first organization bringing Yoga to Cambodia. Vannac was drawn to yoga because of the happiness, health and fulfillment it brought to his life. Vannac started his training under Isabelle Skaburskis and received his first RYT certification at Knoff Yoga in Australia in 2007. In 2009 he completed his Yoga Therapy certification include char yoga, and has also completed the Kundalini Yoga Level 1 teacher training. Vannac taught Yoga classes for 14 years; through his classes, he helped a lot of Yoga practitioners to deal with health problems both physically and mentally. In his yoga classes, Vannac combines alignment and flow, which provide advantages to health and beauty. Importantly, those poses he combined are helpful for dealing with some health problems and other mental problems, such as backache, stiffly shoulder, stress, anxiety, and the like. In present he is founder and ECO of Angkor Yoga.
Mr. Vat Kimly was born in a farmer family in Agnkorban Village, Kangmes Ditrict, Kampong Cham province. He went to live in Buddhist monastery at age 13 years old. He took 1 year to learn Dhamma before transforming a monk at age 14 years old. He took several years to learn Balia Language and Buddhist’s teaching. He got Diploma degree in Balia Language from Prashsoramarith High school. Additionally, He graduated in English Literature in 2011 from Phnom Penh International University and in Law bachelor in 2014 from Pannasastra University of Cambodia. Currently, he is resuming his Master Degree in International Human Right International Law at Pannasastra University of Cambodia. He stepped out of the Buddhist monkhood at the age of 28 years old because of a need to gain an education and the obligation to support his siblings.
Shortly before leaving his life in Buddhist monkhood, Kimly met Krama Yoga founder Isabelle Skaburskis at the ECCC (Cambodian War Crimes Tribunal) where Isabelle was teaching yoga classes during the staff lunch hour. Kimly had a short conversation concerning Buddhist Philosophy, law, and politic with Isabelle during her break time. A few months later on, he had opportunity to work in Krama Yoga in position Human Recourse Manager and Meditation instructor. As he worked there, he had training yoga skill from various professional instructors both local and international. After he got training yoga for years, he got opportunity to get Astanga yoga alliance scholarship from Thailand Kohsamui (Samahita) in 2012. Moreover, he had training Kid Yoga from Amanda, Newzeland in 2013. Also, he had training with well-known teacher alignment from Hart Lazer, Canada in 2015.
He is a professional yoga instructor. He teaches all level of yoga include yoga basic, yoga intermediate, yoga advance, yoga for family, yoga for kid, yoga for old age and teach meditation based Buddhism and yoga Technic.
Mr. Seng Seila He was born in Kompot province. His family moved to live in Phnom Penh since he was young. He started attending the Kundalini Yoga and Meditation classes at Aziza School, a school of the Empowering Youth in Cambodia Organization (EYC). He also became assistant and translator in the classes at Aziza school. He decided to start Basic-Teacher training with Kundalini Yoga Cambodia to learn more about the basic techniques on how to teach correctly. He completed the three levels of the International Radiant Child Yoga Teacher Training in 2009 and also completed Reiki Healing Training level 1 and 2 in 2010. He received the certification for the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Level 1 in 2012. This certificate is issued by the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) in the USA and is recognized by the American Yoga Alliance. In 2014, He started the advanced International Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Level 2, and He already completed two of the five modules (Conscious Communication, 2014; Mind and Meditation, 2015). Moreover, He started learning Hatha Yoga at Krama Yoga Cambodia in 2015. He has been learning and teaching yoga since He was in grade 10 in 2008 until today. He is currently working as program coordinator at Kundalini Yoga Cambodia and teaching regularly yoga classes at the Kundalini Yoga House in Phnom Penh including conducting basic teacher training. Furthermore, He is also working as marketing manager, teacher and trainer of yoga at Angkor Yoga since it was established in 2017. In addition, He involved in outreach activities at various level such as in slum areas and with local communities, with non-profit-organizations and international schools, private company, business men, government staffs and university students.
Aside from my yoga background, He has a bachelor degree in Environmental Science from Pannasastra University of Cambodia (PUC), (2016). He is a founder of the ASEAN Youth Environment (AYE), established in 2014 for charity and social work mainly related to environment education. He is a vice president of the alumni of Pannasastra University of Cambodia (PUC) since 2017. In addition, He is a member of the alumni board of Empowering Youth in Cambodia (EYC). He has worked as sport facilitator at EYC for 7 years. He used to work at Krama Yoga Cambodia as assistant administrator for 3 years.
